Angelos Christofilopoulos was born in Dusseldorf Germany, in 1970. The first contact with photography happened, right after he graduated high-school, in a professional black and white photo lab in Dusseldorf, where he held a position as a trainee. Very soon he decided to pursue a professional career in photography. In 1998 he earned a scholarship in Focus School of Art Photography in Athens Greece, where he graduated in 2000. Ever since, he works as a freelance photographer in major magazines in Greece.
Photography is not only his profession, it is also an excuse to visit different locations he wouldn't normally consider, such as the Middle East during warfare in 2006. It is the medium he uses to explore the world that surrounds him, and a healing process that always proves a great inspiration.
